It’s been a little over a month now since I started University and I can honestly say it’s been absolutely amazing. I’ve met people from different parts of the world, I’m really enjoying my course (History and International Relations) and I love the city I live in, which will remain private for security reasons, unless you know me lol or can tell from my Insta.
When I look back at where I was a year ago-a stressed and anxious A level student, who was fearful for the future, I can only thank God for how far he’s brought me and for where I am today. I’ve never been happier. God really does cause all things to work together. I didn’t know what University I would be going to, until the last minute; within the first two weeks of being at the Uni, I knew I was here for a reason.
I thank God for even the little things that have happened. Before coming to Uni, I wasn’t really a fan of public transport. I never really took buses, trains … it was just confusing to me and I preferred being in the comfort of a car with people who I knew. However, living in my new home city, I’ve learned to love taking public transport and getting my way around. Google maps really is your friend.
‘A wise man’s steps are ordered by the Lord.’ God has orchestrated my steps to meet great human beings that aspire to grow and know God more and more, just like me and for that I’m so grateful. Being friends with like-minded people, has definitely made my experience incredible. At Uni, it does seem like the only way to be considered a fun person is to be completely intoxicated, not sure why, to be honest. I thank God that I have people who know how to have fun and are able to socialise without needing to flood alcohol down their stomachs.
I’ve grown so much in the little month that I’ve been at Uni and I’m just unbelievably grateful. I hope to encourage anyone that may be a little anxious about the future, that God’s got your back and all things are working for your good.
