Due to preparing to start year 12 (sixth form) in a new school, different thoughts began to slip into my mind.
‘How intense will the workload be? What kind of friends will I have? Will I enjoy all the subjects I’ve chosen?’
Unfortunately, I had filled my mind with worries about the unknown and not being able to figure everything out.
I had only realised that I wanted to leave my old school, near the end of year 11.
Therefore, I had missed the deadline to apply to the new school I wanted to go to for sixth form.
The only choice I had was to wait for results day of my GCSEs and trust that they would be good enough to be accepted into the new school.
Of course, God did it for me and I was accepted a day after results day. I put my faith in God and trusted that through His grace, my results would be good and I would be accepted, which is what happened.
However, even through all this evidence that God has got me in the palm of His hands, I still got worried about how everything will be like after I entered this new phase in my life.
Then I remembered that the God who got me this far to even be accepted into a school I did not apply for, will get me through absolutely anything.
My life is in His hands and He is working all things for my good.
It’s funny because this time last year, I would have never thought I would be getting ready to go to a new school and look where I am now. I really would not have it any other way!
God has a great plan for each and every one of our lives. His plans are greater than we can even imagine, all we need to do is trust and obey Him.
‘For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.’- Jeremiah 29:11
