It was August 11th, 2014, when the world was shocked by the dreadful news that the beloved Robin Williams had passed away.
Not only was he a brilliant actor that starred in many iconic films, but he brought happiness into lives of many by his wonderful way of making us laugh through his stand up comedy.
Furthermore, he found joy in making others happy, whilst he was battling with his demons of depression.
Depression should not at all be taken lightly. It is a severe illness that has resulted in many, just like Robin Williams, taking their own lives.
People who suffer from depression feel persistently down and can’t just ‘snap out of it’, which is a misconception of many.
What’s even more sad is that some people who suffer from depression go unnoticed due to seeming happy all the time, when really they’re crumbling inside, like Robin Williams.
I can’t express enough, if you are going through depression, you MUST speak out on it. Tell someone! Seek help!
Your life is sooooooo precious, you have no idea; people love you.
If you’re not and you happen to know someone who is, talk to them, befriend them. In other words, just help.
In fact, even if you see someone looking a bit down, just give them a smile or say ‘hello, have a wonderful day’ or do both.
Honestly, you really don’t know the battles people are facing, that’s why it’s so important to be kind.
Overall, you are not alone and there are many people who have gone and are going through the same situation, you’re in right now; it is very important to speak to someone about it so the result is not like Robin William.
